The room is fully furnished with a queen size bed, cover sheet, duvets, one desk (with drawers), one chest of drawers, one study lamp, one night table, one TV and speakers for music or movies lovers.
The house is located in Maidstone, a quiet suburb (~10km away from Melbourne). We have a place outside to park a car in the property if necessary and a big garden if you feel like relaxing or sunbathing.
You will be sharing a house with three nice boys : Garry (India, 25), Piyush (India, 21) and Tom (UK, 21). Garry will be gone in December but there will always be someone at home.
We have a washing machine, a rotary clothes line outside, a furnished kitchen with an oven, a toaster and a stove, a bathroom with a bathtub, and toilets.
We have fast Internet in the house (200GB to share in one month). We have a plan of $99 (Internet, phone and TV) so basically $25 per person a month. For the other bills, I will ask you to pay in advance (gardener, water, gas) at the beginning of each month, although they don't come all together at the beginning of the month. At the end of your stay, we will have a look at all of them, you may have a refund if you paid more or you may have to complete a bit if you paid a bit less.
The philosophy in the house is basically to share everything, we share all the bills equally (food, internet, water, gaz) and we don't really care if someone is using a little bit more than the others. (But if you don't use the Internet at all for example, you won't have to pay for the Internet bill of course, and if you want to have your own food for you alone, it's not a problem either, you can have your own cupboard). The boys here are very flexible.
I have a bike (with a removable basket) that I would be happy to lend if you want to.
There is a shopping centre (1.5km away) with all you need for the house (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom...) and there are Coles and Aldi where you can buy food.
The house is near to buses 216 (500m), 219 (500m) and 220 (600m) and there are two train stations that you can go to by bike or by car : Footscray station (4km) and Tottenham station (2km).
If you feel like going to a really really cheap market, take my bike or your car and head to Footscray market (4km). In Footscray you will also find all you need for the house for a ridiculous price.
If you are into cycling or walking there are nice paths along the Maribyrnong river which is not very far (4km).
